Darfur Union in the UK: the Prosecution of our People by the GoS will never Deter The Masses from Pursuing Justice 
The government of Sudan has claimed peace and stability in the Darfur ‘are in place’ and has declared that the ‘war is over’ back in the second quarter of the year 2016. This lie was sold to the international community and under this banner the deployment of the Janjaweed militia/Rapid Speed Force in Darfur (as the main GoS force) was for the first time officially announced under the direct command of the Chief of Staff Omer Bashir, and their leader the criminal Hemiti was made to answer to Bashir and Bashir only. Since that day, our people in the region were under more persecution, and they were suffering from ethnic cleansing as the GoS tried all the methods to wipe them from the face of the earth:-
a) The use of chemical weapon in west Darfur (ref. 1)
b) Attacks on IDPs and villages
c) Raping of the women and minors (ref. 2)
Torture of students in and outside the region
d) Unlawful imprisonment
e) Force displacement of the masses by terrorising their existence
f) Demographic changes (ref. 3)
Many have decided to face and stand against the government injustice by using peaceful means via raising their voices, using their pens to tell the story and / or using their positions in and outside the country to advocates and rally the international community to protect their people. Other decided to joint the movements to fight against the militias that prosecute our people. War is hell, it always has been and it always will be. Nonetheless, that the path that some took/forced to take. Two large clashes between the government of Sudan and SLM/M occurred on the 21st May 2017, and as a result some of the people from the regions were taken as POW.
Darfur Union in the UK is a civil body and an advocate of peace (true peace that is aligned with justice for the victims) and uses the stand to call upon all the parties to exercise restrain and to end the war now. Also the union calls the international community to make sure the GoS is not prosecuting the POW and to put pressure on the government to treat the POW according the Geneva Convention 1949 (Article 60 – The Treatment of Prisoners of War, ref.4)
The track record of the GoS and POW is not a good one since the days of the war waged by the Bashir against the people of the then the South, to the days of May 2008 and 2015 when POW were killed in South Darfur in captivity at the hands of GoS militias.
Also the union call upon the international community and the UNAMID forces on the ground to protect the civilians of the region, as the GoS and their militias tend to justify more heinous actions and retaliation especially after they suffered diplomatic humiliation after the de-invite of Bashir to the U.S.-Islamic World Forum on the back of the statement issued by the US Embassy in Khartoum (ref. 5). GoS continues to harbour terrorists and also it provides access and route for radicalised individuals from EU and other part of the world to reach the shores of ISIS (ref. 6).
Lest we forget the victims of the longest ongoing genocide.

إتحاد دارفور بالمملكة المتحدة: تعذيب اسرى الحرب جريمة دولية متكررة تضاف إلى سجل الحكومة الدامي ومناشدة للجهات الحقوقية الدولية للوقوف على مصيرهم
تابع إتحاد دارفور بإهتمام الأحداث الجارية بدارفور خلال الأيام القليلة الماضية، والتي أكدت ان انتهاء الحرب واستتباب الامن بدارفور فرية وان إنسان الإقليم ما زال يعاني من الحرب المفروضة عليه من قبل النظام. الحرب فرضت على إنسان المنطقة بشكل مدروس من حكومة المركز، والتي أدت الى ارتكاب أطول عملية للإبادة الجماعية على مر التاريخ الحديث. النضال ضد الظلم دائماً ما يحمل طابعين، طابع مدني يعي بتوصيل صوت الحق، بالكلمة المسموعة والمقروءة، ومن ناحية حشد التأييد الدولي لحل القضايا المُلحة الانسانية أولاً ثم او تزامناً مع القضايا التي من اجلها يناضل الناس. الشق الثاني هو حمل السلاح لاستنفاذ باقي الوسائل لدى الجهات المواجهة. للحرب التي شنها النظام افرازات عديدة مقصودة وهي التشريد والاعتقالات التعسفية والتعذيب والشتات والتغيير الديمغرافي، كلها تمت في اقليم دارفور وولازالت تبعاتها مستمرة.
سجل الحكومة دامي عندما يأتي الامر لأسرى الحرب الذين تنص اللوائح الدولية ومن ضمنها معاهدة جنيف للتعامل مع اسرى الحرب (المقال رقم ٨٠، لعام ١٩٤٩ مرجع رقم ١) على معاملتهم بطريقة جيدة. تضمن المعاهدة حقوقهم تحت الأسر على ان لا يعذبوا او ينكل بهم او يتم تصفيتهم. في الأيام القليلة الماضية وقع عدد من ابناء الإقليم في أسر النظام، وقد تم الإعلان عن بعضهم ولكن لم يعلن عن عدد منهم. لان عدم الإعلان عنهم من جانب الحكومة دائماً ما يرجح تصفيتهم، لأنهم وعلى لسان مسؤولين حكوميين ان النظام لا يريد اعباء إدارية وتصفية الاسرى اسهل وأفضل بالنسبة للحكومة، وقد كان ذلك جلياً بعد معارك شهر مايو ٢٠١٥ وايضاً بعد عمليك الذراع الطويل في مايو ٢٠٠٨. من هنا نناشد المنظمات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية الحقوقية والمجتمع الدولي للوقوف على حال كل الاسرى في سجون النظام والضغط على الحكومة لمعاملتهم حسب القانون الدولي، وايضاً للإفصاح عن مكان باقي الاسرى الذين لم يُعلن عنهم وفك اسرهم.
إتحاد دارفور بالمملكة المتحدة جسم ينشد للسلام العادل غير المنقوص في ظل عدالة منصفة تجلب حقوق المستضعفين، حقوق المشردين في معسكرات النازحين واللاجئين وفي الدياسبورا. عدالة تقتص من كل من إقترف جرم في حق الشعب. عدالة تجرد حساب كبار مرتكبي جرائم الإبادة الجماعية والتطهير العرقي. عدالة تحمي حرية التعبير والإعتقاد.
التحية للأمهات والزوجات والأبناء والبنات الذين ما فتئوا يدعون من بعد السماء كي يستجب دعائهم لإطلاق سراح ابناءهم.
نود ان نشير ان معاناة اهلنا في منطقة القوس الكبير لا تزال كما هي، تشريد وتدمير وتقتيل من قبل مليشيات الحكومة (مرجع رقم ٢)، عليه فإن جذور المشكل لم تحل بعد، لكن بدايتها تكمن في وقف الحرب على أهل مناطق الهامش، ولكن كل الدلائل تشير إلى زيادة القمع خصوصاً في الربع الأخير من ٢٠١٦ والربع الاول من عام ٢٠١٧.
