The RSF’s control and terror activities in Mellit have obstructed the flow of aid to the key city of al-Fasher. By using starvation as a weapon, the RSF is exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Darfur and causing severe suffering among the local population.

It is crucial to note that the RSF is not acting alone but is supported by regional powers, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This support enables the RSF to continue its genocidal campaign against the people of Sudan with impunity.
